Our History

DMA was originally founded as a forum for members of the grocery industry. Over time, it has expanded and today is composed of representatives from almost every aspect of the distribution and logistics industries in Southern California. The Association decided to relocate from Whittier to the Inland Empire in 2002, placing the organization at the epicenter of warehousing and logistical activity.

Being to able to recognize the needs that surround our committee, is what distinguishes, DMA from other organizations. One important element to DMA's success is the ability to establish relationships with several organizations and institutions in the Inland Empire. Representatives from Cal State University San Bernardino (CSUSB) have stepped to the plate by providing speakers and agreeing to advise the DMA in developing our membership scholarship program. The San Bernardino County Jobs Employment Services Department (JESD) assisted numerous DMA member companies with cost effective workforce development and training with 105 members.
