Logistics Education in the Inland Empire

The Distribution Management Association is actively addressing education needs of supply chain based industries. Some DMA members are advisors on curriculum content and program objectives at these institutions. Several local institutions regularly provide interns and new employees for member companies. Additionally, members and member employees utilize these institutions to advance their education or for various customized employee training programs to enhance operations. Other training related resources include State of California ETP funding and County based Workforce Investment Boards.

The following local institutions are resources for active DMA members:

California State Polytechnic University, Pomona

California State University, San Bernardino

Chaffey College

Norco College

In addition to regular community college and CSU / UC transfer level coursework Norco College offers a substantial Logistics Management Program consisting of accredited college credit (not extension) courses, and has been approved by the California Community College Chancellors Office.

Valley College

In addition to regular community college and CSU / UC transfer level coursework Valley College offers a complete Truck and Bus (Diesel) Technology program as a resource to member companies that operate their own fleets.
